New JMA president

Clarence Clarke

THE JAMAICA Manufacturer's Association (JMA) yesterday elected a new president to succeed Sameer Younis, who ended his four-year tenure at that post and has been replaced by windows manufacturer, Clarence Clarke.

Mr. Clarke took up his new role at the JMA's annual general meeting (AGM) held at its Duke Street headquarters yesterday.

Mr. Clarke founded the manufacturing window and aluminium company, King-ston-based Win-dows Limited some 25 years ago and is its managing director.

On his election to the post he said: "We are going to confront head-on the challenges thrown up by the digital revolution which is changing every facet of human activity and existence."

Jamaica Flour Mills managing director Jack Cwach is the newly elected deputy president, while the technical service manager of Grace, Kennedy and Company, Simon Roberts, was re-elected as Treasurer.
