People have asked us, what Audley Rollen means by the "M.G.P." in his new single distributed by Sonic Sounds?

Bobo benefit

Junior Reid's Emmanuel Calling on Saturday at Skateland is planned to benefit the "Bobos" at Nine Mile, Bull Bay, St. Andrew.

Reid said that in addition to promoting his album, the event is to aid the "Bobos" in rebuilding their basic school at Nine Miles which had been closed down due to lack of funding.

In addition, the "Bobos" are planning on opening a workshop to teach broom making, as well the making of sandals, mats and buttons.

in the works

Have you ever heard about one dancehall show featuring approximately 150 artistes!

Well, that's the big talk in dancehall circles, ever since veteran DJ John Wayne (Call The Police) announced his All Entertainment Jam to mark his return to the local stage.

The flyers carry pictures with nearly 150 acts ranging from big stars Capleton, Beres Hammond, Luciano, Cocoa Tea, Sizzla, Bounty Killa, Shabba Ranks and Ninjaman to newcomers like Muma Lick, Danny English and Anaconda.

The show is being planned for Byles Entertainment Centre, Kitson Town, St. Catherine, on Saturday, September 30, and Wayne is insisting that all the acts being promoted for the event will be there.

Flurry of activity for deejay duo

Black Rat and Max Wayne were very busy in Miami recently and it looks like the city has decided to adopt them as dancehall heroes.

The duo were at Soca City, North State Road on May 19 for Ladies Nite, along with George Nooks, Tinga Stewart, Singing Sway and Contractor. On June 9 they were at Caribbean Cove Club, Cocoa, for the launch of their new album, Go Fah, supported by Future Trouble, Ian Sweetness and Country Speng. June 11 they were at the Spot Nite Club with Diplomat, Sweetness and Future Trouble.

They also did some recording, including remixed versions of their Fraud Brand and Rate You, featuring hip-hop acts, for a CD to be released in mid-July. They also inked a deal to open for Sisqo and Eve in Miami in September.

They just recorded songs for Buju Banton's Gargamel label, as well as Anchor's Dr. Marshall. They fly back to Miami this week for Sunday's Reggae Mega Splash at the AT&T Amphitheatre, which will also feature Capleton, Sanchez, Cobra, Frisco Kid, Tinga Stewart and Diplomat.
