Tea for Woman Inc.

LAST Thursday, ladies from across the island took time for high tea in support of Woman Incorporated Crisis Centre. And Norma's on the Terrace at Devon House was the perfect location for the upscale fundraiser.

Think cool cottons, vibrant florals, subtle pastels, perky hats and immaculately manicured toes peeping through sexy kitten-heeled slides. Some were dressed to kill, but all came to get into the spirit of doing something tangible for their less fortunate sisters. The Dutch Auction brought out the competitive spirit in everyone as they vied for the items donated.

Hostess, Norma Shirley's palate-pleasing fare generated satisfied sighs as roast loin of pork with prunes, raisins and escallion, poached salmon with sour cream caper sauce, a wide assortment of salads and some sinfully delicious desserts, were enjoyed by all.

Members of Woman Incorporated assisted emcee, Jean Small, to draw the prizes.
