Cheese biscuits and straws
4 oz flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 3 oz margarine Iced water 1/2 teaspoon white pepper 4 oz grated cheese Method Mix flour, grated cheese, salt and pepper together. Rub in margarine and mix to a smooth paste with yolk of egg. Pipe out with cookie press or forcing bag or cut into straws or thin strips and twist. For biscuits, use 11/2 oz margarine, 2 oz cheese and a little beaten yolk to make a stiff rolling dough. Cut strips 21/2-inch and bake in a moderate oven for about 20 minutes.
