Rain hits Prep champs

HEAVY rain yesterday forced the cancellation of day one of the three-day JISA/Mother's All Island Inter-Prep Schools track and field championships at the National Stadium.

"The meet is cancelled for today," said Erica Hanson, marketing manager of Mother's yesterday. "We will have a meeting this morning at 6:30 and verify if it will be continued, depending on the weather," she said.

"Nothing went on today (yesterday). If it is going to continue tomorrow it will be started at 9:00 instead of 10:00," Hanson said.
