FINANCE MINISTER Dr. Omar Davies is set to be the first guest in a series of interactive debates run by Go-Jamaica, The Gleaner's Website.

Jamaicans and interested people from around the world will be able to chat directly with the Finance Minister and ask any question they wish using the latest Internet technology.

On Thursday, December 2, Dr. Davies will become the first Talk 2000guest on a new series of online discussions by The Gleaner. The series on the net are designed to put concerned individuals in direct touch with several key decision makers in Jamaica. By entering a chat room on the site, members of the public will have an opportunity to submit comments and ask questions of Dr. Davies, whose responses will be immediately available online.

The Finance Minister will open the series in eight days time between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Senator Douglas Orane, Grace Kennedy & Company chairman and chief executive, will join Talk 2000 on December 9.
