Easy job for Arnett Gardens
PREMIER LEAGUE contenders Arnett Gardens and Olympic Gardens will be hunting their second wins when the Jackie Bell KO football competition continues this afternoon.
Arnett Gardens will host Shortwood at the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex while Olympic Gardens play Maverley/Hughenden at Cling Cling Oval. Both matches kick off at 3 o'clock.
Arnett will look to Onandi Lowe to lead their charge along with Cornel Chin-Sue, Byron Earle, Leo Haughton and Denton Shedden against a Shortwood team bubbling with confidence but which is likely to be outclassed.
Olympic Gardens are without national defender Ian Goodison but will look to Gregory Messam and Tyrone Davis to lead their charge against the less experienced Maverley/Hughenden side.
Meanwhile, a double strike by former Norman Manley Comprehensive Manning Cup forward Alberto Fray and a goal from Irvino English powered Waterhouse to a 3-0 victory over National A League contenders Rockfort at Drewsland on Tuesday.
Fray got his goals in the 44th and 89th minutes while English scored in the 77th. In another game at Up Park Camp, the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) defeating Real Mona 8-7 on penalties.
