Tivoli outclass Pembroke Hall
Tivoli's Andrew Chisholm shields the ball from Pembroke Hall's Cush Rhone in yesterday's Red Label Wine KSAFA Jackie Bell KO at Constant Spring. Tivoli won 3-0. Rudolph Brown
A RICARDO FULLER double helped Tivoli Gardens sink Pembroke Hall 3-0 in the Jackie Bell KO competition at Constant Spring yesterday.
Fuller's goals were in the 24th and 47th minutes, while Tivoli's other strike came from David King in the 62nd.
Other teams to taste victory yesterday were Waterhouse who defeated New Kingston 3-0, Constant Spring who downed Brown's Town 2-0 and Boys Town who won 2-0 over Cavalier.
Tivoli started off tentatively, allowing Pembroke Hall much room to move deep inside their half early with Andrew Wilson, Hanif Shand, Paul Wilson and Nakia Reid combining well.
Reid had the opportunity to give Pembroke Hall the lead with just seven minutes on the clock when Tivoli's goalkeeper, Edsel Scott, beaten while going for a save outside the box, left an empty goal for Reid who had all the time in the world to get the ball into the back of the net but shot wide.
Tivoli took some time before settling down, but then started to dominate their inexperienced foes and could have won more handsomely had it not for some faulty finishing from the Premier League champions.
Led by ace strikers Steve Green and Fuller along with King, Andrew Chisholm, Marco McDonald, Curtis Henry and Carlos Williams, they dominated the rest of the game.
The competition continues today with Meadhaven vs Rockfort at Maverley/ Hughenden at 3:00 p.m.
